Location

The city of Nagasaki is located in the northwestern part of the island of Kyushu
in the extreme western part of Japan. Nagasaki is particularly close to the Korean
peninsula and China and serves as Japan's window to China and
other countries of Asia.
Access

By air:
From Tokyo: 1 hour and 40 minutes
From Osaka: 55 minutes
By rail (JR limited express train)
From Fukuoka: Approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes

Getting around Nagasaki
Streetcar
The streetcar system is your best choice for travel between sites of interest in Nagasaki. It avoids any delays caused by heavy traffic.
There are four streetcar routes, each of which operates trains at 5-to-8 minute
intervals. The fare is only ¥100 for rides of any length. The Day Pass allows
an unlimited number of rides for one basic fare. What's more, your expired
pass will serve as a useful souvenir bookmark.
Single-use fare / Adults: ¥100 , Children: ¥50
Day Pass / Adults: ¥500 , Children: ¥250 (On sale at about 50 locations
in the city including the Nagasaki Tourist Information Center. Not sold on trains.)
